Turkey in the snow; 8×10 oil on canvas

I finished this painting last week and delivered it to my customer, Debbie, on Friday. She loves turkeys so much and we spent a great deal of time choosing the perfect reference photo of a turkey. When I revealed this painting to her, Debbie literally started crying because she loves it so much! I am really proud of this painting and knew she would love it, but I didn’t expect her to cry! It really warms my heart to know that my artwork can touch people on such a personal level. I know that this painting went to a very loving home where it will be cherished for years!

I painted this piece in oil on an 8×10 thick gallery wrapped canvas, so it can remain unframed. It was painted as one in a pair of fall paintings – you can see the other painting in yesterday’s post.
