I painted this piece as a Christmas gift for my grandparents. This is the view from their front porch in Pillowville, Tennessee which overlooks Christmasville Road, a couple of ponds and a ridge in the distance. My grandmother took this photo and included it in her 2013 Christmas card and I thought it would make a lovely painting. They were so surprised to unwrap this as a Christmas gift! I think it’s a neat coincidence that they happen to live on Christmasville Road which leads to…you guessed it…Christmasville, Tennessee!
