I was asked to paint this portrait of Ebony by one of my coworkers. Sadly, Ebony passed away late last year, very unexpectedly. Though I never met Ebony in person, I had gotten to know her through photos and stories. From what I gathered, she was a sweetheart and a diva all rolled into one. I was so honored when I was asked to paint this portrait because I knew what it would mean to my friend. Needless to say, there were tears shed by all parties involved when I delivered this painting.
