I don’t have any new paintings to share with you all this week, but I hope to have one for next week’s post. I am working hard to complete my latest Tennessee State Capitol painting this week so that I can start on all of the commissioned paintings I need to complete before Christmas! I am loving the uptick in my commission business and am so excited to know that my paintings will be making lots of people very happy on Christmas morning!

I did receive the following two photos from my customer (Linda) who commissioned the two 8×8 bell pepper paintings (click here to see the post). She purchased two gorgeous floater frames from the Randy Higbee Gallery and I absolutely LOVE the way the frames complement the paintings! What are floater frames you ask? Floater frames differ from open-back frames in that they have a piece of wood across the back of them, so you actually put the painting in the frame from the front and the painting appears to just ‘float’ in the frame. Floater frames are recommended for small paintings because they don’t cover any portion of the artwork like regular open-back frames do.

Linda and her husband are absolutely thrilled with how these turned out and I must agree, the frames really set them off!
