This painting was commissioned by a coworker as a Father’s Day gift for her husband. This is a portrait of the couple’s first home…where he proposed to her on the front porch, where they completed many renovation projects, and where they brought their son home from the hospital. They recently moved to a new house, but their first home will always hold many special memories for them.

If you look closely, you can even see the family’s two dogs looking out the front door. I loved painting this piece – it is such a lovely home and so many memories are captured here.
