Happy Thursday, friends!

Last week, I posted a photo of my first ever oil painting. Today I am posting a photo of my second painting! After I finished painting the tree and pond painting that my art instructor had all of his first-time students paint, I got to choose something that I wanted to paint. I have always loved Jack Vettriano‘s work so I chose to paint a study of The Singing Butler. When I look at this painting, of course I see a lot of things that I would paint differently now, but I do see a few things that I painted fairly well. Specifically, I really like the folds in the maid’s apron and the fold in the butler’s handkerchief.
